General Application Guidelines
Once the University has received copies of all the student’s school documents and valid passport, it will issue an Offer Letter (stating the terms & conditions of admission) for the programme the student is applying for. The remaining documents must be sent by 1st August in order for the Admissions Office to proceed with the rest of the application formalities. The complete set of documents will be submitted to the Ministry of Education and Culture for their evaluation of the academic documents and also, to the Migration Department of Cyprus for evaluation of the non-academic documents and visa.
The issuance of visa varies according to the country of origin and therefore, for some countries the visa is issued from the Migration Department of Cyprus and is given to the University. The University is responsible for sending the visa (Temporary Entry Permit) to the student for entering Cyprus.
For other nationalities the visa is issued from the Embassy/Consulate of Cyprus in the country of residence of the applicant and is attached in the student’s passport. This visa is valid only for a limited number of days after arrival and it must be renewed immediately.
